As a puppy, if you would put this boy on your lap and rub his belly, his geyser would squirt a stream across the room! Geyser is an awesome boy that loves the water as much as he does the land. He is very creative and fast thinking. When Geyser was learning to swim and got tired in the water, he would grab the collar of other dogs swimming nearby and hitch a free ride to shore. We have taken Geyser and his sister Peri on river trips and they love to swim class II rapids. They are the only dogs that we know who would swim to shore after going through a rapid and then run up shore to swim the rapid again!

Geyser is solidly built and has a body style that is very "typy" of the Labrador standard. His top coat is straight and lays flat. Nice angulation in the rear and a nice, sweet head that is more reminiscent of Labradors of days gone by rather than the over-done Rottweiler look that, unfortunately, many try to breed for these days. Geyser loves to be around people and very gentle. He loves to lay by your feet and will follow you where ever you go. Upon meeting new friends, it is all kissy-kissy and tail wags like he has known the other for years. In the field, Geyser is driven and dedicated to the retrieve. We started him in the field at 5 months by carrying birds to the gunners (or wingers) when a "re-birding" was needed and he carried the birds with tail wagging.  We have high hopes for Geyser both in the ring and out in the field

A fire station may like a Dalmatian for their mascot but Hot Shot crews prefer Geyser because of his precise aiming and his endless water reserve capabilities!
